JUNE DRINKS IN FISH LANE

It’s time to pull out the gloves and turn up the heat Brisbane – winter is officially here! New seasons call for new trends, and with the days getting shorter and the nights longer, we’re officially switching from summer brunch mode to chasing the ultimate winter warmer – June drinks in Fish Lane! Whether you’re cocktail, wine, or beer type of drinker, there’s a drink for everyone in our little lane.

COCKTAILS

What better way to beat the cold snap than with some schnapps? Dear Brisbane – meet your Maker. At this bar which is small in size but big in flavour, customising is king. So, if you’re after a delectable peach schnapps Bellini or even a simple G&T, Maker’s the bar for you.

As for those looking to embrace the winter chill, look no further than the coolest cocktail around – the classic espresso martini. As for who does this balance between steamy coffee and arctic vodka best, look no further than The Dollhouse Bar at Chu The Phat.

WINE

Would you look at the time –  it’s wine o’clock all night on Fish Lane, and the nippier weather calls for the darkest of reds… Pinot Noir. This June, Fish Lane’s favourite wine aficionados La Lune are rolling out Pinot Nuits, where guests can sip on anything from contemporary Pinot to old world flavour.

Or are you after a wine as white as snow? In that case, cross the lane and head over to Gauge, whose wine (not to mention the food) is award-winning.

BEER

For those after a pitcher-perfect winter night, we suggest escaping the cold at Big Roddy’s Rippin’ Rib Shack. Feel like the winner we think you already are with their full-bodied Champion Lager, which is brewed in-house to match perfectly with their magnificent ribs!

After something a little more unique? New kid on the block Copperface Jacks truly raises the bar. Indulge in their quality Irish pints or delicious Scotch Whiskey to discover why this friendly pub is a South-Brisbane favourite.

Furthermore, we can’t talk about ales without mentioning the lane’s very own beef café Saccharomyces. With independent craft beers and larger-than-life Guinness, prepare to pine over their pints this winter.

Cheers Brisbane – it’s time to stay toasty in Fish Lane tonight.
