Nom wins big in the Best of the Year Interior Design Awards

We’ve already expressed our admiration for the salad serving fave, Naim On Melbourne (see: Three things we love about Nom); and now, Nom’s recognition has gone international.

Although their hummus bowls deserve every medal known to mankind, New York’s coveted Best of the Year Interior Design Awards were recently announced, with Nom selected as a finalist in the best three cafés worldwide!

Designed by The Stella Collective, Nom’s interior draws inspiration from the ancient city of Aleppo, Syria, reflecting the courtyards, geometric tiling, and hole-in-the-wall tea houses of director Hana Hakim’s childhood.

With ceiling-high windows flooding the café in natural light, Nom makes the most of its 55m2 space with gold accents, pops of greenery, and a minimalistic yet cosy fit out.
