Fish Lane Festival – The Ultimate Foodie Trail
With Fish Lane Festival just around the corner, it’s time to start mapping out your very own foodie adventure trail come Saturday, May 12. With many of last year’s stalls making a comeback and new restaurants joining the festivities, you’ll be spoilt for choice! Time flies when you’re on Fish Lane, so for those who’ve left planning to the last minute, here’s a list of the six menu items you need to try this festival!
JULIUS PIZZERIA – Gnocchi Pomodoro
Early-birds to this year’s festival will be rewarded with Julius Pizzeria’s Gnocchi Pomodoro, which famously sold out within hours last year. For those who are complete novices when it comes to this restaurant, think traditional Italian cuisine cooked to perfection. Pillow-like gnoochi, creamy mozzarella, and pomodoro sauce… if you manage to get your hands on this dish, don’t hold back!
CHU THE PHAT – Spicy Pork Brioche
Variety is the spice of life, and Chu the Phat come May 12 will have no shortage of unique flavours to share! One of the newer additions to Fish Lane, they will be dishing up their popular spicy pork brioche with cabbage and aioli, along with mouth-watering duck steamed buns.
31 DEGREES – S’mores
Now here’s a dessert that deserves toasting. Sweet-tooths will love 31 Degrees hand-made s’mores, which come filled with vanilla marshmallows and Valrhona dark chocolate in-between graham crackers. What a treat!
BIRD’S NEST – Authentic Japanese Yakitori
For those after something a little lighter that still packs a delicious punch, Bird’s Nest West End will be to stall to visit. Fly by to try their authentically grilled Japanese Yakitori skewers. This is one dish worth leaving the nest for.
FIVE SISTERS – Yiros
Because we can never say no to Greek cuisine, our excitement is high to visit Five Sisters. What better way to start the evening than with their scrumptious yiros filled with tzatziki, lettuce, tabouli, and your choice of chicken, halloumi or lamb.
KISS THE BERRY – Acai Whip Sundaes
Want to treat yourself to a decadent dessert, minus the guilt? New kid Kiss the berry’s AcaiWhip sundaes are the ultimate sugar-high while still being kind to the waistline.
Get excited and get hungry people! Fish Lane Festival’s only four sleeps away…
