Fish Lane Festival’s scaled-up 2019 entertainment line-up!
While the culinary lineup for Fish Lane Festival was enough to make any Brisbane foodie drool (hello Golden Gaytime smores), Fish Lane Festival has announced the entertainment lineup that’s set to have the crowd heaving come Saturday, May 11 from midday-late!
With over 17 unique performers taking to four different stages across Fish Lane and Hope Street, and 11 concept bars like the Somersby Cider Bus and Tanquery Gin Garden popping up, the good times will be rolling from midday until late. Even better? Fish Lane Festival is totally free, with everyone welcome (including minors, as long as they’re accompanied by an adult!).
The Colonial Brewing Co. Main Stage on Hope Street will be home to some of the best entertainment on the day, with Graham Moes setting the tone with his looping rhythms and harmonious hooks, followed by acoustic soul artist Mark Lowndes. The evening will be rounded out with all the catchiest tunes from ROMII (recently back from recording in L.A.), the very funky Golden Sounds, and fun local faves The Wet Fish.
The new al fresco drinking and dining area will transform into a hub of all things jazz, with the Somersby Jazz Stage set to get your feet moving and your hips grooving. With the likes of Ella Harber, Adelina Martinez and Charlotte McLean delivering the smoothest jams, First Beige and The Hummin’ will help end the night on a high note.
As well as the music offerings, we’re excited to announce that Cork & Chroma will return with their insanely fun Sip & Paint Workshops with spots available to reserve at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. sessions here.
Also returning to Fish Lane Festival in 2019 are the ever-popular Espresso martini bar and Tanqueray Gin Jungle. A very special pop-up wine bar by Vasse Felix is not to be missed, and visitors will also be hoping to hop on board the Somersby Bus or the Pimms Kombi!
The Red Bull Laneway Bar will be pumping with bevs as well as some of Brisbane’s favourite DJs like Tony Walrus, Sarah Thomson and Dameela mixing it up until sundown. After dark, the dance floor will come alive with Tom Gazal joined by Ryan Livings on sax before Midnight Tango closes the night out with Flynny on trumpet.
Stay tuned for the event map and full program coming soon, and be sure to mark May 11 in your calendar for Fish Lane Festival 2019!
