Introducing Wandering Cooks’ Urban Produce Market

There’s a new weekly event on Fish Lane, and it just so happens to showcase the best of Brisbane’s produce!

Whether you’re a budding cook, frequent market-goer or just a lover of local fruit and veg, Wandering Cooks’ weekly Urban Produce Market kicks off from 7 am on Saturday, August 22 with our region’s best produce available on offer for all. 

You can shop like a Masterchef at the Farm Gate, with produce from the same farms that supply Brisbane’s best restaurants, including Brisbane locals like Little Acre Mushrooms and Neighbourhood Farm!

Nims Zavackas, Wandering Cooks’ food production manager, will also have a range of zero-waste preserves and ferments on offer, utilising excess backyard and farm offerings, as well as market produce leftovers. 

If you’re after a hot drink and a bite to eat, coffee will be poured all morning courtesy of Small Batch Roasting, alongside ready-to-eat offerings from Wandering Cooks. Tweed Valley’s The Bread Social will be on hand with their famous artisan pastries and breads–following recent border closures, this will be Brisbane’s only access to these treats! 

The inaugural Urban Produce Market will be held on Saturday, August 22 from 7 am to 1 pm, and every Saturday morning thereafter.
