Saccharomyces Presents Belgian Beer Week
Belgian Beer Week is coming to Fish Lane for the first time, thanks to our very own Saccharomyces Beer Cafe. From July 18 to 24, beer lovers can taste their way through unique Belgian brews during four events, some free and others ticketed.

Monday, July 18, 5:00pm: Lambic Movie Night
Kick off the week with the oldest brewed style of beer, Lambic – which originated in the Pajottenland region of Belgium, southwest of Brussels. Taste your way through some of the 13 different lambics being poured over the bar, whilst enjoying the Australian debut screening of Lambic: About Time and Passion – a movie that delves into this unique style of beer that has been around for hundreds of years.
Entry to the movie is free, beers will be available to purchase on the night. Find details
Tuesday, July 19, 6:30pm – Quads and Cheese: St Bernardus Vertical Tasting.
It’s arguably one of the best beers in the world: St Bernardus ABT 12 is a classic Belgian quadruple that adheres to the original 1946 recipe. Saccharomyces will be pouring three vintages; 2012, 2018 and 2021, accompanied by a selection of cheese, lavosh and dried fruit.

Thursday, July 21, 6:30pm – Lindemans Family Dinner
200 years and nine generations later, family-owned and operated Lindemans is still brewing some of the most unique Belgian beers. Quench your thirst with Lindemans five classic beers paired with three mouth-watering courses. Tickets: $80, includes five different Lindemans beers paired with three courses. Find details
Saturday, July 23, 12:00pm – 9:00pm – Belgian Block Party
Nobody does a block party quite like Saccharomyces, so join us on Saturday for an afternoon of Belgian brews and beery eats. Over 20 imported draught beers will be pouring across three bars, including some exclusive limited and special releases. Find details
