Valentine’s Day on Fish Lane: Pick Your Love Language
Roses are fine. Chocolates are predictable. But a really good meal, shared in the middle of Fish Lane with a bottle on the table and nowhere else to be? That’s the move.
This Valentine’s Day (and weekend), our venues are leaning into romance their own way, from long, luxurious banquets to relaxed, share-style feasts with mates. Whether you’re celebrating love, friendship, or just an excuse to eat well, here’s what’s happening on the lane.
Marlowe
Valentine’s Weekend | Fri 13 – Sun 15 Feb
Romance lives at Marlowe all weekend long. Chef Ollie Hansford has crafted a four-course set menu designed for sharing… refined, indulgent, and quietly impressive. Friday to Sunday lunch is on, plus Friday and Saturday dinner sittings. And if you’re in the mood to elevate things even further, the Vodka & Caviar Cart rolls through on Saturday, followed by the Bloody Mary Cart on Sunday. Say less. Check out the full menu on their website here.
Southside
Valentine’s Day | Friday 14 Feb
Escape the ordinary and step into Southside’s lush urban jungle for a Valentine’s Day that’s all about flavour, atmosphere, and lingering over the table. Executive Chef Benny Lam’s five-course banquet is generous, polished, and perfectly paired with cocktails and pours made for toasting. From fresh shucked oysters and kingfish ceviche to dumplings, char siu pork, seafood fried rice and classic coconut pudding, this is one for serious food lovers, so book here.
El Planta
If your Valentine’s vibe leans plant-based (or you’re just into really good food), El Planta is hosting a special Valentine’s Day dinner with a four-course set menu plus a welcome cocktail or bubbles on arrival. There are two sittings available at 5.30pm or 7.30pm, making it an easy pick for a relaxed, intimate celebration that still feels special. There are only a few seats left for this one, so get in quick here.
Chu the Phat
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be candlelit. Chu the Phat is all about sharing the love, and the banquet, whether you’re dining with a date or rolling deep with mates. Expect a set banquet plus a drink on arrival, featuring steamed duck buns, poached chicken salad, pork & kimchi spring rolls, fried duck leg, fried rice with roast pork, and wok-tossed greens. Optional add-ons include calamansi oysters and chocolate panna cotta, if you’re feeling extra, so check it out here.
Como Italian
If you’re going all in, Como Italian is delivering a luxe, no-shortcuts Valentine’s experience. $270pp includes a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV on arrival, housemade semolina sourdough, tuna tartare with black caviar, pumpkin ravioli with duck ragu, a choice of second course, and dark chocolate mousse to finish. Quietly opulent, impeccably executed, and very much an occasion kind of night… and bookings are here.
Fish Lane does Valentine’s Day every way… low-key, luxe, long lunch, big night out, and everything in between. Book early, stay awhile, and let the lane handle the rest.
