Dine at Billykart Bar before City of Gold
The 2019 season for Queensland Theatre is heating up, as the highly anticipated production City of Gold takes the stage at the intimate Bille Brown Theatre. Led by rising theatre star Meyne Wyatt, experience Queensland’s newest theatrical production of wry humour and political incendiary with pre-show indulgence at Billykart.
Set in the heart of South Brisbane, Billykart’s casual, walk-in space provides the perfect setting for pre-show dining, with tasty nibbles, inventive cocktails, and bistro-style classics available from 5:30pm. Owned and operated by Ben Donoghue and Ben Roberts, this dynamic duo will have guests served, fed, merry, and out in time to catch their show.
If you’re looking for a feast fit for a king (or queen), why not indulge with Billykart’s grilled kingfish with acqua pazza, mussels and squid served on sourdough. Alternatively, take a sneak peek at their authentic churrasco spit grill, most likely roasting with bay and balsamic pork chop to be served with charred leek, white beans, gorgonzola mascarpone and balsamic jus.
Fancy a more relaxed vibe? Step in to taste Billykart’s salumi board, complete with a selection of cured meats, pickles, and charred sourdough. The bar will also be shaking up a storm, pouring up a selection of delicious cocktails such as their luscious apple martini and watermelon crush.
Located just a quick six-minute walk from the Bille Brown Theatre, make plans to dine at Billykart next time you’re booked in to see a show!
