Fish Lane wins big at Eat & Drink awards
While we know that our lane is a special one, it’s always nice to hear it from others!
Local Brisbane publication The Weekend Edition had Fish Lane celebrating with gusto on Monday when they acknowledged not one, not two, but five of our nearby restaurants in their 11th Annual Eat & Drink Awards 2018!
For the uninitiated, The Weekend Edition’s Eat & Drink Awards bestows impressive titles such as ‘Best New Café,’ or ‘Best Restaurant’ to the greatest restaurants gracing Brisbane’s foodie scene.
The winners of each category are based on reader’s votes – so if you voted for the eats and drinks in Fish Lane, we thank you very much!
Gauge was the first to start dancing in the street after being voted ‘Best Restaurant’ in Brisbane. Having previously gorged on their scrumptious cavatelli and pan-fried mackerel, we can see why! Up there with the best is Julius Pizzeria, who took out the prestigious award of ‘Best Place for Relaxed Dining’ due to their delicious interior design and pizza.
Congratulations are also in order for fellow Fish Lane occupant Gelato Messina, who were honoured with the melt-worthy title of ‘Best Place for Dessert’. Food-aside, Maker won ‘Best Place for a Cocktail,’ and in the process proved that Brisbane loves their drinks just as much as we do! Last but not least, nearby neighbour Billykart in West End stepped up to the plate and were awarded Brisbane’s Best Café!
Want to help celebrate these victories? Then put on your stretchy pants readers – it’s time to take a walk down Fish Lane.
