Fresh flavours at Newport’s Cafe

Fish Lane’s cosy nook Newport’s Cafe has recently launched a revamped menu, offering a range of tasty treats for both breaky and lunch (and something to satisfy the break in between the two!)

When they’re not serving Single O coffee as espresso and filter, the team at Newport’s are preparing the daily offerings of pastries, sandwiches, vegan donuts and croissants!

The new menu is headlined by sweet options like crumpets with honey or jam, and homemade granola with coconut yoghurt and seasonal fruit. Savoury options include the ham sandwich, served with tomato chutney, pickle, swiss cheese and potato crisps, and the smoked salmon sourdough toast with cream cheese, capers and dill.

Breakfast favourites like avo on toast are available, with the addition of beetroot hummus, dill, feta and pumpkin seeds. The fig, ricotta, and walnut rye toast is already a Fish Lane favourite, and perfectly balances savoury and sweet!

Newports is open from 7am until 2pm, Monday – Friday, at 29 Merivale Street.
