Introducing Fish Lane’s new-ish kid on the block, Hoo Ha Bar!
After initially making waves as a beer and brew spot that championed thirst-quenching Australian ales on Tribune Street, Hoo Ha Bar owners pivoted their offering to a coffee joint to coincide with their relocation to Fish Lane. From March 9, the beloved neighbourhood spot is elevating its offering and will open for late-night trade once again – we couldn’t be more excited!
The new up-late venture will showcase a variety of Australian wines from independent, local producers and artisans with a lineup including Thick as Thieves, Sven Joshke and Latta Vino – perfect for those looking to try a new tipple.
The succinct snack menu is nostalgic with a modern twist, curated to perfectly compliment the wine offerings. Think of your grandma’s piccalilli recipe but add in some mortadella and pickles, or classic bread and butter but replace it with Riser’s sourdough and brown butter with miso.
A small selection of five cocktails anchors Hoo Ha’s focus on Australian produce and ingredients, such as a native amaro with pineapple and anise or the spice rum espresso punch.
The 20-seater venue will operate on a walk-in only basis at night, perfect for those looking for a casual drink or two after work, and a spot of Melbourne St people watching.
So gather the crew and head to Hoo Ha Bar for a chatter and cheers to the new venture!
