Thinking Out of the Box
Try thinking Out of the Box with the kids this week!
Making a splash near Fish Lane will be QTAC’s biennial Out of the Box festival, which is on again from the 26th of June to the 1st of July. With a jam-packed five-day program including in-theatre experiences, workshops, and activities curated especially for children under 8 years old, this is one mini-festival we just can’t wait to arrive!
Your adventurous day ahead is spread throughout QTAC, with activities for all! Be transported back to your childhood days with Duck, a feel-good play, while the little ones giggle and gasp over its heartfelt story of friendship and love.
After the play, skip through the lane and head over to The Melbourne Street Green and Dance… Like No One Is Watching! Transforming the precinct into one giant dance floor, prepare to bust a move to groove to songs, both old and new. All ages are encouraged to join in on this one, so show us what you’ve got!
Finish the day inspired by spellbinding New York, Air Play as they merge circus with a street theatre performance. Think flying umbrellas, larger-than-life balloons, giant kites floating over the audience, and the biggest snow globe you’ve ever seen. You’ll be gasping in wonder and laughing until it hurts in no time!
There are simply too many great activities to choose from, but with day passes at only $35pp each or $30 for families, you can enjoy an in-theatre experience, create in multiple workshops, and plan to drop-in to Play Spaces, Home and Jarjum Life Museum.
So, join the Out of the Box team to celebrate and support learning, play, curiosity and discovery for children and their families as they learn and grow together.
Tickets are limited so book now!
