Where to dine before watching Book of Mormon at QPAC

Have you heard the good word? A set of heavenly (and equally hilarious) performances by the larrikins behind Book of Mormon will be gracing Brisbane until May’s end.

Knock on any one of the following Fish Lane eateries doors before making your way to QPAC for something to be talked about for years to come!

La Lune
You cannot just believe part-way, you have to believe that all of La Lune’s offerings will start your night on the right foot. And thanks to their late-night hours, the party doesn’t have to stop when the lights go down! Keep the magic going by dropping in after the show to feast on their decadent oysters and cheese boards with show-stopping wine to match.

Hello Please
The entire team is here for you. Hello Please’s menu is the foodie equivalent to paradise, letting  you indulge in the likes of crispy chicken ribs with green chilli soy and sesame and pork belly bao with chilli cucumber pickle and peanut hoisin before the show. Enjoy yourself, please.

Maeve
Fish Lane’s newborn king is Maeve – a budding wine bar overlooking South Brisbane’s kingdom. Head here from 4pm for a black garlic waffle with cashew blue cheese parfait and your choice from an approachable everyday wine list (or a cocktail or two).

Julius
For a meal worthy of the wisest men, be sure to visit and get your hands on the marinara deluxe and tartufo pizzas at Julius. Cooked to perfection and delicious in every way, their pizzas are not the only thing that keeps us going back; their late dining hours also mean it’s the perfect place to feast after showtime as well!

Maker
If you’re praying for a cheeky pre-show martini or customised cocktail before heading to QPAC, then you’re about to meet your Maker. Drinks aside, this hide-away bar/cave of wonders also serves up edible treasures including pastrami toasties and stunning charcuterie boards.

Ol’ School
Every hero needs a sidekick, just as every diner deserves to kick it Ol’ School before a show! As well as being located not too far from QPAC, Ol’ School’s genius fish tacos and mouth-watering calamari will be too good to believe.

Chu the Phat
Thanks to a menu that dishes out Asian street food with a gourmet touch, everyone in your congregation will feel at home in Chu the Phat! Their colourful bazaar-like interior and succulent beef kalbi provide a feast for all your senses, and is the perfect warm-up setting before the real show begins.

Grassfed
We have a feeling that you could be feeling a whole lot better before the show if you go to Grassfed. Fish Lane’s latest and greatest dedicated vegan burger bar is a mouthful in every sense, with an enormous menu with burgers, sides, desserts and shakes to match. Knock knock, we’re there.

Whether it’s curtain call or curtain close, Fish Lane is here to fulfill all your foodie needs.

Psst… last-minute tickets for Book of Mormon’s May sessions are available here.
