Death of a Salesman Knocks on the Playhouse Door
Queensland Theatre has officially opened its 2019 season, and welcomes to the stage one of the most influential plays of the twentieth century: Arthur Miller’s biting masterpiece, Death of a Salesman.
Witness the breakdown of the optimism that defined American culture in the mid-1900s through the eyes of Wily Loman: a talented salesman who’s once happy and prosperous life has cracked under the pressure of American capitalism, leaving him bitter and disappointed – especially after his directionless son shows up on his doorstep.
Experience this timeless exploration of the human need to succeed, directed by Brisbane’s own Jason Klarwein and starring Peter Kowitz.
Taking over The Playhouse at QPAC until March 2, you can enjoy the show then ponder your place in the world over a glass of wine at La Lune Wine Co. or keep the retro-vibes alive the throwback seafood diner, Ol’ School.
Purchase your tickets here to check out one of the most celebrated pieces of theatre ever to grace the stage – and make your dinner plans by perusing our Fish Lane restaurant directory!
