Enjoy QAGOMA’s Water by night at Up Late
In celebration of their breathtaking exhibition featuring works by Cai Guo-Qiang, Olafur Eliasson, David Weiss, and more, join QAGOMA for Water Up Late – the latest in their after-dark parties showcasing the world-class exhibits by night.
Adding music into the mix of the visual arts on offer, Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 will see a mix of local and national musicians take the stages in and outside QAGOMA from 6 pm, so you’ll have time to stop by Julius for a pizza beforehand!
On Friday, March 20, catch South-Sudanese musician and asylum-seeker Gordon Koang’s joyful melodies, Woorabinda artist Miiesha, Australia’s next Eurovision performer Montaigne, and unique classical quintet Topology. DJs Sweaty Baby and the Uk’s Boom Boom Bean Selecta will see you into the night in style.
On Saturday, the lineup includes Aria nominee Adrian Eagle, Brisbane artist LÂLKA, Mildlife’s cosmic funk tunes, and iconic Brisbane artist Robert Forster of The Go-Betweens. Additional tunes by DJs Paolo and Hannah D. will follow, perhaps chased by a late-night snack at Big Roddy’s!
Tickets to Water Up Late are $38 for one night, or $68 for both, and available here.
