The Return of a Brisbane Icon: Hotel Terminus Lands in Fish Lane
One of South Brisbane’s most beloved pubs is back. After years of anticipation, the heritage-listed former Fox Hotel is reopening as Hotel Terminus on 20 June, ushering in a new chapter for the iconic corner venue that has long been part of Brisbane’s hospitality landscape.
Reimagined by Ghanem Group Hospitality, Hotel Terminus spans four levels and brings together dining, entertainment, events and nightlife under one roof. The extensive transformation includes a striking 18-metre atrium, a new Fish Lane entrance, dedicated function spaces, a gaming room, a bottle shop and three distinct venues designed to take guests from lunch through to late-night cocktails.

At the heart of the venue is the all-day gastropub, led by Executive Chef Jake Nicolson. The menu showcases premium Queensland produce alongside elevated pub classics, with highlights including house-made Scotch Eggs, premium steaks sourced from across Queensland, the Salty Sea Dog lobster hot dog with saffron mayonnaise, Moreton Bay bug rolls, steak tartare, stout-braised sticky beef ribs and a tandoori chicken pie. Sundays are set to be a standout affair, with a generous roast featuring prime rib, lamb leg and porchetta.

Upstairs, Fox Rooftop pays homage to the venue’s former identity while delivering a fresh rooftop experience complete with cocktails, dining and sweeping views across South Brisbane. Meanwhile, Vixen Room offers a sophisticated late-night escape, pairing cocktails, live music and entertainment in a moody lounge setting.

Blending heritage character with contemporary hospitality, Hotel Terminus honours the legacy of the much-loved Fox Hotel while creating an exciting new destination for Fish Lane. Whether you’re stopping by for a long lunch, rooftop drinks, live entertainment or a late-night rendezvous, this South Brisbane icon is ready to welcome guests once again.
