Introducing Midtown: Fish Lane’s New York-inspired martini haven

Nestled in our vibrant Arts Precinct, Midtown is about to become Brisbane’s newest must-visit bar. Set to open its doors in early September, the venue promises a unique experience with a focus on two-sip martinis and classic cocktails.

Located beneath Aria’s award-winning residential building, The Standard, Midtown is perfectly situated between South Brisbane’s arts and culture hub and West End’s eclectic dining scene. The bar’s compact yet inviting space is reminiscent of the small bar scene in New York (hence the name) and will be divided into Uptown, Midtown, and Downtown – three intimate spaces catering to parties of different sizes.

Midtown is the brainchild of Amelia and Daniel Miletic, the talents behind Kangaroo Point’s One Fish Two Fish. Drawing inspiration from their travels, Midtown will have a touch of Spanish, Italian and Balkan influences in its branding and menu. Despite these global touches, Midtown aims to be a welcoming local haunt.

With a 20-seat bar of spotted gum running through its centre, Midtown offers the perfect setting for sipping on classic and modern cocktails, along with a well-curated wine list. Complementing the drinks, the menu features elevated bar fare like a raw bar, small plates, and charcuterie. From oysters to whole fish to other small plates, the culinary offerings are designed to delight.

Midtown invites you to step away from the ordinary, whether it’s a midweek break or a weekend celebration. Stay in the know by following them on Facebook and Instagram via @midtownbarbrisbane.
