The QPAC Shows Worth Planning Your Fish Lane Night Around
Fish Lane and QPAC have always gone hand in hand. You do the culture fix across the road, we handle the pre-show pasta, post-show vino, or late-night “that was incredible” debrief cocktail. And 2026? It’s stacked.
If you’re locking in tickets this year, here’s what’s coming to QPAC, and why you should absolutely be making a Fish Lane plan around it.
From 27 March | Lyric Theatre
Moonwalks, megahits, and the story behind the Dangerous World Tour; MJ the Musical goes beyond the glove and the lean, offering a deeper look at Michael Jackson’s creative genius. Expect high energy, flawless choreography, and a crowd that’ll be buzzing all the way back to Fish Lane for a nightcap.

9 April – 3 May | Glasshouse Theatre
Exclusive to Brisbane and opening QPAC’s brand-new Glasshouse Theatre, The Last Ship is the big one. Written, composed by, and starring Sting (yes, Sting from The Police), this limited season tells a moving story of community, loss, and resilience, inspired by his own childhood. This is a ‘make a night of it’ show… book dinner, linger longer and soak it all up.

From 7 June | Lyric Theatre
Chaotic, hilarious, and unapologetically strange, Beetlejuice brings Tim Burton’s cult classic to life with big laughs, dark humour, and more spectacle than you can shake a striped suit at. Perfect if your ideal night involves a little weirdness, a lot of fun, and somewhere nearby to decompress afterwards (hi, Fish Lane).

10–26 July | Playhouse
Jane Austen’s iconic love story gets a vibrant, all-Queensland cast and a fresh theatrical spin. It’s romantic, witty, and still painfully relatable centuries later (no wonder it’s a classic!). Book this one if you love a classic, and stay nearby for a glass of wine at Bar Brutus or Maeve Wine Bar while debating who really deserves their happy ending.

From 31 July | Glasshouse Theatre
It’s back. Loud, outrageous, award-winning, and very much not polite. The Book of Mormon returns to Brisbane with its signature brand of musical chaos and laugh-out-loud moments. You’ll want a Fish Lane stop afterwards, whether to recover, recap, or keep the night rolling is entirely up to you.

Pro tip: QPAC tickets go quickly, but Fish Lane’s always here. Plan your show, then plan your eats, drinks, and post-show wander accordingly. Culture first, cocktail second, or vice versa.
