Art and food will collide for this exclusive workshop and dinner at Southside Restaurant
An initiative of Museum of Brisbane, BRISBANE ART DESIGN (BAD) champions the movers and shakers of our art and design sector and spotlights our thriving cultural identity through the places, histories and climate that bring creativity to the fore.
For one night and one night only as part of BAD, art and food will collide as Brisbane’s beloved ceramic studio, Mas & Miek, team up with the culinary talents at Southside Restaurant in the Fish Lane Arts Precinct.
Set amongst the luscious jungle canopy at Southside, you will be introduced to the art of hand crafting ceramics by mother-daughter duo, Mieke and Charlie, from Mas & Miek.
Enjoy a multi-sensory experience where you’ll handle fine white porcelain and learn basic skills of how ‘pinch pot’ vessels take shape. Then, indulge in a delicious two-course banquet menu, plated on Mas & Miek handmade pieces with paired wines from Southside. As a special gift, guests will receive a handmade, glazed and fired plate used during their dining experience to take home with them.
Join us for a unique and exquisite experience; a celebration of the inextricable love language between food and ceramics.
Tickets are strictly limited. Head here to see the menu and book your tickets.
