This July, Fish Lane is the place to be with a month packed full of theatre, food, art, music and community events. Whether you’re chasing school holiday fun, planning a pre-show dinner, looking for your next wine bar discovery or simply wanting an excuse to get out and about, Fish Lane is serving up something for everyone.
Nestled alongside Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct and QPAC, Fish Lane is your one-stop destination for winter adventures, long lunches, late-night cocktails and unforgettable experiences.

School Holiday Fun for the Whole Family
Looking for a school holiday activity that doesn’t involve screens?
Take the kids on a self-guided Fish Lane Art Trail and discover the precinct’s colourful murals, public artworks and much-loved Tiny Doors installations hidden throughout the laneway. It’s part treasure hunt, part art adventure and the perfect excuse to spend a sunny Brisbane afternoon exploring South Brisbane.
For families wanting to dive even deeper into culture and creativity, Fish Lane’s NAIDOC Week celebrations kick off on Monday 6 July with a guided First Nations Art Tour. Beginning in Town Square with lemon myrtle tea, the family-friendly experience explores stories of culture, resilience and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander expression through the precinct’s incredible public artworks.

Make a Night of It at QPAC
With some of the year’s biggest productions landing next door at QPAC, Fish Lane is the perfect place to start or finish your theatre experience.
Heading to Pride & Prejudice, Snow White, Macbeth, or one of the many other amazing shows at QPAC? Turn your theatre ticket into a full night out with dinner, drinks and a wander through the precinct before the curtain rises.

Fall in Love All Over Again with the Pride & Prejudice Cocktail Trail
From 10–26 July, Fish Lane will transform into a Regency-inspired playground in partnership with Queensland Theatre’s Pride & Prejudice.
Expect themed installations, immersive precinct activations and a bespoke cocktail trail inspired by Jane Austen’s beloved classic.
Sip your way through:
- Midtown’s Lemon Drop Martini
- Marlowe’s Deco Martini
- Southside’s Fong Fuego
- Chu The Phat’s Sweet Cheeks
- Hello Please’s Spiked Punch

Complete the trail, and you’ll also go in the running to win a major prize, making it the perfect excuse to gather your fellow Bennett sisters and spend an evening exploring Fish Lane.
