Where to dine during Brisbane Festival 2020

The world-class arts celebration that is Brisbane Festival is back for another year. Whilst it may look a little different in 2020, this cultural phenomenon will light up Brisbane!

When it comes to events and shows, South Bank is ground zero, and Fish Lane is just a short stroll away. See to it first that you eat (before or after!) at these tasty Fish Lane eateries!

Big Roddy’s

Big Roddy’s American BBQ-style menu is waiting in the wings to sort out all your pre- and post-show cravings this Brisbane Festival! If your show of choice happens to fall on a Wednesday, look no further than $1 buffalo wings or otherwise opt for their popular beef short ribs paired with Canadian poutine fries.

Chu The Phat

From curtain call or curtain fall, Chu the Phat is waiting for you. While you may be heading to QPAC for the main event, Chu is putting on a show of its own in the form of a stunning banquet. Think steamed duck buns, stir-fried pork, Nanna Anna’s chilli chicken, and more for the whole table for just $40pp.

Grassfed

Need to refuel after hitting up a socially distanced dance club session? Take your gang (all dressed up in your best disco looks, of course) straight to Grassfed, and feast on plant-based burgers, fries, and sundaes!

Julius Pizzeria

Before you head to any one of the amazing musical performances on show in South Bank, make sure to fine-tune your palate with a slice or two from Julius Pizzeria! While their tartufo pizza is always a fan favourite, the gamberi pasta with juicy tiger prawns also makes for the perfect pre-show treat.

La Lune

Looking for somewhere to unwind with a wine? A warming bottle of pinot awaits you at La Lune, alongside small bites like kangaroo tartare with muntries, fermented chilli, and dukkah.

Maeve Wine

You can’t get much closer to the action than a visit to Maeve! A culturally rich experience in its own right, the set menu at Maeve is something extra to look forward to after the show.

Next Episode

Serving up cocktails (and a few beers and wines), this cosy bar is a hidden gem. After a mind-blowing performance at Metro Arts West Village, be blown away by Next Episode’s cheeky location, pumping music, and tasty beverages.
