Celebrate National Margarita Week on Fish Lane
Whether you like them shaken, stirred or frozen, the mighty margarita is the perfect sip for any occasion! This Tuesday, February 22 is National Margarita Day so for all señoritas in need of a margarita, here’s where to find the best ones on Fish Lane.
Straight out of Europe and into the heart of Town Square, Bar Brutus makes the perfect spot for a post-work drink. The Iltimo Margarita with thyme infused tequila, limoncello, agave and lemon is the soul of this cosy sipping spot and a fan-favourite of Fish Lane regulars. It’s first in best dressed if you want a taste, as this little corner bar doesn’t take bookings.
Fish Lane’s most leisurely space for a post-work sip (and just a few metres from sister restaurant Southside should you need a nibble), Kiki serves up a magnetic margarita with a kick – the Fon Feugo! What’s not to love about vibrant pink watermelon, a healthy glug of tequila, and some zesty AF chilli?
Known for its elegance, Maeve is a popular spot for the wine veterans of Brisbane, but their fine selection of classic cocktails will also have you drinking like Gatsby! Our top pick: a Tommy’s Margarita with tequila, lime juice and agave nectar. Be sure to book a table here.
Concealed behind a photo-worthy, neon-lit barbershop attributed to the Black Eyed Peas is another go to spot for celebrating the mighty marg. The Mamacita Where You At is a funky spin on the marg that includes Tequila, Jack Daniels, fresh lime juice and house made syrup. Find the secret entry code on their Instagram here.
Fish Lane’s favourite plant-based taqueria will have you spoilt for choice with not one, not two but six different margaritas making it the perfect spot to honour the Mexican-born cocktail. Tequila on with their classic margy, try our their zesty Blood Orange Margarita or spice up your weekend with their Jalapeno margarita.
Salty or sweet, tart or fruity, the margarita is the perfect sip to get the party started.
