How to welcome the Year of the Rabbit on Fish Lane
As the lunar calendar approaches a new year on January 22, Fish Lane is preparing to start the way we intend to continue it: with pan-Asian delights, festive banquets and dragon dancing.
2023 is the Year of the Rabbit which symbolises longevity, positivity, wittiness, cleverness and self-protection. People can expect new fortunes, hope and prosperity and of course, a whole lot of celebration.
Southside, the renowned eatery amongst the jungle oasis of Fish Lane, is celebrating with a modern Chinese banquet and lion dancers from Friday 20 to Sunday 22.
The banquet will offer special dishes like tempura rock oysters, truffle prawn toast, pan-fried pork and chive gyoza, and wagyu tataki with crispy chilli and tofu for $108 per person.
You can view the full menu and book for Southside’s Chinese New Year celebrations here.
For even more rich cultural delights, Chu the Phat’s menu incorporates the best flavours from Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan with favourites including handmade dumplings, fragrant stir-fries and punchy side dishes. Their festive banquets are the perfect option for a celebration with two exclusive dishes including Yu Sheng, prosperity salad with kingfish, and whole steamed baby barramundi available as add ons from Saturday, January 21 to Friday, January 27.
No matter which feast you opt for, Lunar New Year is guaranteed to be a vibrant and delicious affair on Fish Lane!
