Fish Lane Welcomes a One-Night Taste of Paniyiri
Paniyiri is bringing a taste of Greece to Fish Lane for one night only, with a special 50th anniversary pop-up landing in Town Square on Saturday, 9th May, 5–8pm.
This one-night celebration is designed as a preview of what’s to come, giving Brisbane a chance to step into the spirit of Paniyiri Greek Festival ahead of the main festival. Expect an evening filled with energy, culture and connection, with HD performances setting the tone, DJ Kasboi keeping the crowd moving, and the unmistakable rhythm of Greek music taking over the laneway.
For those wanting to get involved, there will be the chance to learn the Zorba, with guided moments inviting you to step in, join the circle and experience one of Greece’s most iconic dances firsthand. And if you’re feeling competitive, the “Zorba till you drop” competitions will take things up a notch.
Throughout the night, there will also be opportunities to win tickets to Paniyiri 50, making this not just a celebration, but your chance to be part of the main event.
And for anyone with a sweet tooth, this pop-up is all about Greek desserts, with a curated selection of traditional sweets available to purchase. Plus, don’t miss the Paniyiri merch and gift shop items on offer for a little piece of the festival to take home.
Set within Fish Lane’s buzzing Town Square, this is your official invitation to start the celebrations early.
